{"id":6237,"date":"2018-11-06T23:09:15","date_gmt":"2018-11-06T23:09:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stmarysnscloghan.ie\/?page_id=6237"},"modified":"2019-09-18T20:18:46","modified_gmt":"2019-09-18T19:18:46","slug":"active-school-week-section","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/stmarysnscloghan.ie\/?page_id=6237","title":{"rendered":"Active School Week Section"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Active School Week<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our active school week took place from the 24<sup>th<\/sup> to the 28<sup>th<\/sup> of June this year. We enjoyed many fun sports and activities organised throughout the week. On Monday, a coach from our local soccer club, Banagher United, took 1<sup>st<\/sup> \u2013 6<sup>th<\/sup> class for soccer drills, games and matches. On Tuesday, we tried out the new \u201cFun and run\u201d game launched by the GAA with Conor Clancy. We also had our sports day on Tuesday. The parent\u2019s association were actively involved in helping to organise activities including penalty shoot-out, obstacle course, sack race and much more!! On Wednesday, Neal Buckley, a local gym owner, organised a box fit class for 3<sup>rd<\/sup> \u2013 6<sup>th<\/sup> class. On Thursday, Amanda Martin led a Pilates class for each class in the school. This was a fabulous way for us to stretch and wind down after a busy week. On Friday, we enjoyed a tug-of-war competition between classes and a penalty shoot out against the teachers. Each day, we engaged in Drop Everything and Run and Drop Everything and Dance time.
