We were so excited to recently introduce our brand-new Outdoor Sensory Walkway — a vibrant space designed to encourage movement, exploration, creativity and connection with nature for all students.

Our outdoor area has been carefully developed to support physical activity, sensory development, wellbeing, and imaginative play in a fun and inclusive environment.

Features:

• An all weather walkway surrounds the school pitch, providing students with the opportunity to explore the wildlife while spending time with their friends.

• A special feature of the walkway is our beautiful Bug Hotel, created by Cloghan Game and Conservation Club to encourage curiosity about wildlife and the natural environment.

• A selection of fun and attractive play equipment and benches, a fantastic asset to our school – providing students and teachers with the opportunity to take lessons outdoors, while also supplying a place to learn through play!

Outdoor sensory spaces provide important opportunities for children to regulate emotions, develop independence, and connect with the world around them.
